Nowadays, Facebook is working extremely hard in order to maintain its stability and popularity amongst the various range of social and chatting apps available at the moment. And after adding the feature of "Stories", not very long ago, the viral app is now trying to bring the best of the two worlds by combining the option of viewing the history of the user’s “Stories” and, at the same time, the interesting real-life storytelling feature is still to be vanishing after a full day. And despite the facts that there are some rumors spread about how Facebook copied the exact version of the feature of “Stories” provided by Snapchat, the new formula of maintaining a strong history of “Stories” whilst sticking to the main characteristic of disappearing within 24 hours, is supposed to lift the status of the Facebook “Stories” further upwards.
Strangely enough, it’s rumored that Snapchat has thought of a similar idea to apply to its “Stories”; however, there were some fears and trepidation that the improvised idea would not be met with heartedly appreciation. As for now, it appears that Facebook is taking the initiative to test the new “Stories” feature that is supposedly designed so that it would be a close contender to the Instagram one – and there is also a great deal of similarity between the two “Stories” of Facebook and Instagram. For instance, the Facebook user will be granted the opportunity to choose his most preferred photos and video clips from the history of his “Stories”, and then he’ll be able to put them in a themed package that has a title and a cover photo, and he'll be able to display all of his preferred packages on his profile page.
Of course, Facebook is going to be elevated as it adds this new “Stories Highlights” feature; there is no reason now to complain about any missing feature or to resort to any other app which provides extra positives. Yet, Facebook is not trying, in any way, to copycat the “Stories” of Snapchat; quite the opposite, every now and then, Facebook adds a new twist to his “Stories” in an attempt to stand out from the other "Stories" available at the moment. And most importantly, the users are now going to try and capture the most worthy and dearest moments in order to put them in a collective album to be represented on the profile page in the form of a “Story”.
Facebook officials made it clear that the attempt to provide the users with the feature of “Stories” and “Stories Highlights” was a genuine result of the constant request by Facebook users to provide an intriguing way to highlight the most unique moments through the day and through the user’s life in general. Consequently, Facebook first introduced the “Stories” feature which is then to be followed by the highlights of the stories of the user; the highlights of the stories are a form of an experience that’s going to be attached to the profile page allowing the friends and followers to get a deep look at the real person behind the Facebook page.
